I want to eat healthier i need some ideas for healthy snacks and meals and i dont mean like extoic foods that i have to go to some foreighn store . I just want simple quick things that are around the house

When u get hungry throughout the day try carrot sticks or other fruit or vegetables. As for healthy meals try just cooking with less red meats and use pork and chicken. Also stay away from foods in the boxes and cans…(already prepared meals). Buy fresh fruits and vegetables to prepare. We are all so busy with work and everything that we don’t have the time to cook from scratch…but really that is the more healthy way.

My healthy snack is baby carrots with a little hummus on them. PBJ is also good, use multigrain bread, low fat or natural peanut butter, and sugar free jam or organic. I also like non-fat plain yogurt with granola or almonds (non salt) and peices of fruit (any kind of berries, raisins, apples), if you want to add more sweetness to it, drizzle some honey over it and mix.

I make chicken cacciatore all the time. chicken, onions, peppers, and mushrooms in sugar free sauce. Or you can make turkey burger, they taste good and you they aren’t as bad for you as other food. Plus you can use whole wheat buns instead. For snacks have the 100 calorie packs, they are great because they are already portioned out for you and you won’t have to thinka bout it. Plus tons and tons of fruits and veggies. I always have frozen veggies in the freezer, healthy and good.

a veggie tray and ranch dressing. The best!!! Also, makings for a salad (NO iceberg lettuce), nuts (can go in salad), dried fruit, trail mix, plain yogurt and fresh or frozen fruit, and fresh fruit. Stay away from sugar (duh), and high fructose corn syrup. My personal rule – if it didn’t come from the ground or a vine, try to avoid it!

    Healthy snacks!
I try to keep my snacks to 100 calories or less.
Raw fruits and vegetables are excellent.
With the raw veggies, I like low cal creamy cucumber dressing for a dip or a drizzle. Do not pour out more than a tablespoon!
Raw veggies that I like are carrots, celery, peppers, cauliflower.broccoli, mushrooms, snow peas, turnips and even raw potatoes.
My advice is take something that you like and eat it. Eat only 100 calories worth and then stop.
    Examples:
    Glass of milk..
    Small container of yogurt..
    Piece of meat…
    One egg…..
Small hand full of seeds of nuts..
Have an eight ounce glass of water before, with or after your snack so that you have that full feeling!
    Enjoy!
